Art meets technology
Exhibition on the life's work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude, supported by long-standing cooperation partner Gleistein.
Rope production may not seem to have much to do with art at first glance, but Gleistein GmbH, a leading manufacturer of fibre ropes, is frequently involved in art projects. For the past 30 years, the artist duo Christo and Jeanne-Claude has repeatedly turned to Gleistein to benefit from the technical expertise of the Bremen-based company in realizing their legendary art installations, such as the wrapping of the Reichstag building in Berlin in 1995 and the wrapping of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris in 2021.
Now Gleistein supports the exhibition “Paris. New York. Grenzenlos” at Gottorf Castle’s Museum of Art and Cultural History from 10th of March to 3rd of September 2023, to pay tribute to the life’s work of the artists.
